Northern Communities Land Trust, a Minnesota nonprofit corporation, has been a leader in revitalizing neighborhoods & providing homeownership opportunities to low and moderate income people in Duluth, Proctor, & Hermantown for over 20 years. In the process, we have helped over 250 families and individuals buy their own homes.
We will soon be forming a new organization in conjunction with Neighborhood Housing Services. In late 2010, the boards of the two non-profits started to explore the merits of combining because it was believed that the community could be better served if all programs and resources provided by the two were housed under one roof.
One November 15, members of both the NHS & NCLT boards gathered to vote on the dissolution of NHS and the renaming of the Land Trust. The new name will be revealed soon!
